How a policy renewal travels through InsuOrg

From automated expiry alert to binding the new term without messy spreadsheet overrides.

How does InsuOrg handle a renewal? A renewal file opens before expiry, an owner records the next action and insurer quotes, then the broker marks the file Renewed (new term) or Lost (closed with reason). The old term is never overwritten.

What happens when a policy approaches expiry?

InsuOrg creates reminder tasks at 90, 60, 45, 30, 15, 7, and 1 days before expiry. The file appears on the Overview dashboard with overdue, 7-day, and 30-day buckets and a ₹ premium-at-risk total in Indian Standard Time. The expired policy row is not deleted when work starts.

How is the next action recorded?

A Broker Admin or Manager assigns an owner. That owner logs client calls, requests two or three insurer quotes, and writes the next required action with an IST due time. WhatsApp-style preview text can be copied; InsuOrg does not auto-send WhatsApp messages today.

What happens when the client decides?

Mark Renewed rolls a clean new term whose effective date is the old expiry plus one day. Historical audit of the expired term stays in records. Mark Lost closes the file with a reason and does not create a new term.
