Expiry arithmetic

Policy Expiry Calculator

Days remaining, expiry date and a suggested follow-up from two dates.

Days remaining = end date − today (IST calendar date, UTC date parts). Suggested follow-up is 30 days before expiry, or 7 days before if you are already inside that window.

Inputs

Estimate

Calendar estimate. Negative days mean the end date is already past — do not imply cover is in force.

Expiry date
05 Nov 2026
Days remaining
31
Suggested follow-up date
06 Oct 2026

Dates copy freely. Tracking owner and next action needs InsuOrg. History stays in this browser.

What this tool does

Use this when the schedule is in front of you and you need “how many days are left?” plus a diary date — without opening the Excel tracker.

Formula

Days remaining = (Policy end date − today). Follow-up = end − 30 days, else end − 7 days, else today.

Example

If today is 18 Sep 2026 and the policy ends 17 Oct 2026, days remaining is 29. Suggested follow-up is today (already inside 30 days), or the 7-day mark if that is still ahead.

How to use it

Enter the fields, run the estimate or copy the wording, then paste into WhatsApp, email or a worksheet. This marketing site does not keep a server-side file. This browser can keep a short local history. Saving onto a policy, commission or renewal in the product requires an InsuOrg workspace.

Limitations

This does not bind cover or create InsuOrg reminder tasks by itself. Confirm the schedule on the policy.

Questions

What if the policy has already expired?

Days remaining is negative. Do not tell the client they are still covered. Use the expiry-message templates for that wording.

Can InsuOrg track this automatically?

Yes on a live file: Overview and My Day use IST windows. This page is the free sketch.

Need the desk, not only the calculator?

12-minute walkthrough: Overview → one file → My Day.
